OUR ATHLETICS MODEL

Athletic development, built into the school day — not squeezed around it.

At most schools, athletic training has to fit around a fixed classroom day — six-plus hours of school, then practice squeezed in at the end. The St. James Performance Academy flips that structure. Flexible, online coursework runs alongside sport-specific training throughout the day, so athletic development is a real priority, not an afterthought.

The result: equal emphasis on academics and athletics, increased training time, expert guidance, and access to the resources that maximize athletic growth and performance.

Why STJPA Athletics

A Different Kind Of School Day

Same high-quality college preparatory education, two very different models. At The St. James Performance Academy, training is built into the schedule rather than added after the fact.

By the Numbers

What A Year Adds Up To

Across the school year, this model gives Student Athletes measurably more time in each area that matters — without sacrificing academic rigor.

Yes, The St. James Performance Academy offers a post-graduate year for those Student-Athletes who are looking enhance their academic and athletic profile, and further prepare for the rigors of college athletics.

What does the sport-specific training look like?

For certain sports, we have enough Student Athletes to field competitive scholastic teams where Student Athletes will play against schools in regional and in some sports, national schedules.

Our High Performance Department is led by Mateus Manoel. Our Student Athletes train four days a week with our coaches, focusing on sport-specific strength and agility training. The program layers in testing with Swift Laser Gates and VALD Force plates to provide a data-driven approach to training and development.

How is Performance Nutrition incorporated?

Although Student Athletes are welcome to bring their lunches, we also offer a few options for on-site meals. We have a full-service restaurant, Vim & Victor, located inside the facility, that includes healthy and delicious options at an affordable price. We also have partnerships with YAY! Foods and Mighty Meals to provide access to a registered dietitian so athletes can get a better understanding of how to appropriately fuel their body with nutrients necessary to aid their development.
